Sports Performance Group
For the Sports Performance Group Training Sessions, there is never any more than 7 athletes in a training session at one time (average training sessions are 3 to 5, but some sessions do get busy at times). Even with 7 athletes, one thing that separates CSAdvantage’s training from others is that no matter what, every athlete has their own training program that focuses on their needs based on their sport and training goals as well as initial assessment, in-depth video analysis from training in the gym.
What to expect in a Training Session
- All training sessions work on multiple facets of training centered around movement potential through increased strength, power, conditioning, balance and agility to create a better athlete.
- Typical training sessions begin with a dynamic warm-up followed by strength work, conditioning and post-workout (formatting will be determine from number of days attending and training goals).
- Training sessions will revolve around CSA’s 7 Pillars of Strength, which include: Jumping, Squatting, Hinging, Lunging, Upper Body Pulling and Pushing and Bracing besides incorporating Speed-Agility-Quickness and Conditioning.
- Training sessions are very hands-on, where I am helping the athletes throughout the entire session coaching them how to do a movement as well as videoing so they can watch themselves to help learn proper mechanics as well as see what they are doing
well.
Private Training
In the Private Training, each individual will have their own training
program that focuses on their needs based on their sport and training goals as well as initial assessment, in-depth video analysis from training in the gym.

Recover - 2 - Perform
Focuses on helping an athlete address any potential muscle soreness/tightness from one’s sporting activities as well as those dealing with a nagging, non-serious injury. These sessions can be done for athletes within the Sports Performance Group Training Sessions or as a Private Training Session for more individualized attention.
Understand the value of performance and that if you don’t take the proper
means to recover, then all of this work to increase one’s strength and power will not have the same benefits. This includes not only training, but also eating well, getting plenty of sleep, hydration and then the final piece of the puzzle is utilizing proper soft tissue means to recover from one’s training. All of this together will help to produce a better result and increase the likelihood an athlete stays healthy outside of contact injuries, which are unfortunately unavoidable at times.

Champion Sports Advantage offers various Workshops throughout the year both at All Seasons Ice Rink as well as off-site for those interesting in booking.
